The weekend was ok - we went to the city with friends and then ended up seeing the most bizzar play! Our friends wanted to see Igby goes down - the movie; and niether me nor Mike wanted to see that. So we bid them farwell after dinner and went to the theatre nearby, as we wanted to catch a certain play. What do you know, the play was only supposed to start at 10, and it was only 7, so we didn't feel like waiting for 3 hours. But, next to that theatre, there was another one - a bit smaller. We figured lets just drop by there and see what's going on. There was a play going on there at 7:30 so we were like, yeah, lets just go there, kind of take a risk, see something we never expected. Well, we were in for a surprise! As Mike got tickets, I looked around and saw that the waitiing room was filled with men. Gay men. They were holding hands, talking, and generally were very "coupled", if u know what I mean. I whispered to Mike, honey, I think it is going to be a gay play. He looked around and said yeah I think u r right.

I was the only woman in the audience! How's that for starters. The play wasn't really a play per say but more like a 1-man show, where this dude was just telling his autobiography on stage. Apparently he is a gay porn industry star. So for 1.5 hours he just told us how he became a porn industry star, and how he realized he was gay, and all that. It was rather interesting, and I must say that overall we had a good time. But talk about unexpected. I didn't feel very uncomfortable though, it's kind of like - gay men are cool. They really are. So I had no problems at all relating to everything - it just was funny that we ended up in a completely different environment.

Yesterday Nikka and I went to see this movie, Mostly Martha. It's German, it's about a chef (so I thought Nikka would especially enjoy it). Well, I don't know what the reviewers thought, calling it a "comedy". It was NOT a comedy in every sense. It actually was depressing. Like, really depressing. And the ending was a bit forced, I mean first they give the classic "hapy end", then it's like no no, not really.

Ok, there is a certain thrill about unexpected twists but this was done in a very abrupt and not-too-much-sense-making way. So I can't say I really liked that movie. But it was something to do.

and now... now I'm in school, ready for another week of insanity. Yeah.
